Ushering

Ushering is an important job! Ushers are part of our church's extravagant welcome to all who come to our doors. It's not a difficult job and training is available. Ushers are so important to the smooth running of our worship service. If you are interested in serving the church as an usher, please contact the church at 508-693-2842 or at wtiscong@comcast.net.

Coffee hour

After our worship service on Sunday, we gather for a time of fellowship. This is a special time when members and friends of our congregation spend time with each other, the church school children, the choir and visitors. Most of the year, we gather in the Parish Hall for Coffee Hour. When the weather is most beautiful, we hold Lemonade on the Lawn.  Our Hospitality Committee is responsible for the set-up and clean up, and the beverages. Members and friends of the church sign up to host by bringing some of their favorite foods -- store bought or homemade. We appreciate your participation. If you like to bake, this is a good time to test a new recipe.  Coffee cake, muffins and cookies are always a hit. Especially popular are fruits, cheese and crackers and fresh veggies. On special occasions, there is a celebratory cake. We heartily welcome new hosts. There is a sign-up board in the kitchen and the Hospitality Committee is always available on Sunday as well.

Flowers

Our talented flower arrangers typically rely on foraging from our gardens, fields and woods as much as possible. We are truly grateful to those who order special arrangements. These funds allow us to purchase flowers when needed, particularly in the winter months, when our gardens are all sleeping!

We have made it easier for people to dedicate flowers in honor or in memory of loved ones. You can simply email the church office at wtiscong@comcast.net or fill out the form found in the Parish Hall.  We look forward to working with our church family in 2017 in continuing to beautify our services!
