Music programs

Our Choir is an active, lively, and welcoming group of committed musicians. We rehearse on Thursdays from 5-6:30 PM and prepare two choral pieces for the Sunday service. We enjoy making music together and the spiritual reward of sharing our musical gifts with the congregation.

Our Handbell Choir is a fantastic group of high school and adult musicians who volunteer their time, talent and energy to our ever-growing bell choir.  They rehearse on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 PM.

Summer services

Our church is active all year round. In the summer, we are joined by people from all around the world who come to Martha’s Vineyard to enjoy our beautiful Island. Our summer services have a festival spirit—at least once each summer we welcome dancers from The Yard. And every August we welcome The Rev. Raphael G. Warnock, Senior Minister of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. After worship is over, we spill out onto the churchyard for Lemonade on the Lawn.

Holiday and special services

We express our faith in many ways and in many places. Animals are blessed, babies are baptized, children dance on the lawn to praise God's creation! Easter is observed with our beautiful and moving Tenebrae service on Thursday of Holy Week and two Easter services: an intimate traditional service at the church and a larger community service at the Agricultural Hall. Advent season in December is our time for contemplation with Wednesday Evensong services. We celebrate the birth of Jesus in the Agricultural Hall with a family Christmas Pageant and a candlelight service of Lessons and Carols back in the church sanctuary.
